The Upper Delatite area is a stunning part of our shire stretching from Happy Valley to Mirimbah at the base of Mt Buller. The locality includes the residential areas of Alpine Ridge, Changue Rd, Sawmill Settlement and the homes opposite Pinnacle Valley Resort.

Community Planning 2011
Community members from Happy Valley through to Mirimbah are currently creating their first community plan. The plan will outline the things that community members value in their area; and the actions or initiatives they feel will make their community an even happier, healthier and more sustainable place.
THE COMMUNITY PLANNING PROCESS TO DATE
- On February 26, 2011 the first in a series of community planning activities took place at the Princess Hill School Camp in Sawmill. Some 65 adults and children got together over a BBQ and provided their thoughts and comments on what they valued about their community and visions they had for the future of their community. - A survey was posted to all ratepayers to check that the ideas raised at the first workshop were shared by other community members. To download the survey results click here. (To view a copy of the survey, click here.)
- Around 40 community members gathered on May 29th to discuss the survey results and decide on the list of projects to be included in the draft Community Plan. Read the report about the gathering here.
- A draft community plan was developed and was available to view for public comment online as well as being distributed to community members attending the community planning workshops.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IN THE COMMUNITY PLANNING PROCESS?
- A third gathering will be held on Sunday 20 November, 2011. At this workshop the community will agree on final changes and sign-off on the final Plan and get started on planning the individual projects within the plan.
