Roads and Footpaths Strategies
FOOTPATH AND TRANSPORT STRATEGIES OUT FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
Mansfield Shire Council has prepared strategies for future road transport and footpath enhancements and developments within Mansfield Shire and is inviting community feedback on these strategies.
Mansfield Transportation Strategy
Transportation links into and within Mansfield Shire are critical for the economic well-being of the shire. The ‘Future Vision – Mansfield Transportation Strategy’ paper identifies key transport routes, school bus routes and priority routes for tourism and economic activity, and addresses critical locations and residential upgrades. It is intended to tie together the needs of various sectors of the community and to provide a basis for evaluating road proposals.

Mansfield Footpath Strategy
The footpath network within the Mansfield Shire provides significant community benefits for recreation and access. The ‘Mansfield Footpath Strategy’ paper proposes a range of projects to address issues and gaps in the existing Mansfield footpath network. Initially, these are focussed on the Mansfield township, but projects for other towns will be incorporated into the strategy as an outcome from community consultation. A basis for evaluating footpath proposals is incorporated in the strategy.
