Round 2 of the Community Matching Fund is now open

March 17, 2017

Round 2 of the 2016-17 Community Matching Fund is now open for applications.  There are two streams of funding available:

1. The Clubs and Group Fund which grants up to $5,000
2. A new fund with grants of up to $3,000 to support individual community members in training and skills development

Many grants are moving to alternative application formats, such as videos and online polling. This year the Community Matching fund has also introduced a new application format where groups present their ideas to an assessment panel.

The new format of presentations to a panel of officers enables community groups and clubs to see what other projects are taking place around the Shire, networking, the creation partnerships and mentoring opportunities.

Applications to the Clubs and Group Fund opened on 14 March and will close on 18 April 2017, with presentations to the assessment panel scheduled for early May.

Grants are open to not-for-profit, community and sport and recreation groups in the Mansfield Shire that can provide a dollar for dollar match to the grant through financial and in-kind contributions.

The application process involves completing a simple application form, to express your group’s interest in making a presentation to the assessment panel.

It’s always great to see groups coming together to achieve their goals and deliver projects which benefit the broader community.
All the information about the fund can be found on Council’s website at http://mshire.co/CMFund

Applicants are encouraged to start planning their projects well in advance of the closing date and call Council’s Community Development team on 5775 8555 to discuss their ideas.
