Australia Day Celebrations 2018

Come and enjoy complimentary BBQ breakfast and entertainment commencing at 8:30am at the Median Strip, High Street, Mansfield.

This year our Australia Day Ambassador is Mr. Dennis Banfield, a Senior Executive with over 25 years' experience in retail, franchise and not-for-profit sectors.  He is a FOLIO Leadership Victoria Fellow and Advisory Board Member for the Starlight Children's Foundation and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  He has a particular interest in the area associated with children under the age of 5 facing or experiencing trauma and is passionate about helping children in need who have suffered as a result of trauma at an early age.  Mr. Banfield is extremely excited to be meeting the Mansfield community and sharing his thoughts about what being Australian means to him.

Our Citizen, Senior Citizen, Young Citizen and Community Event of the Year Award winners will be acknowledged as well as announcement of the winners of our colouring competition which has been sponsored by the Mansfield Courier.

Entertainment will be provided by Dennis Tucker, Michael Isbister and the MAD Orchestra and the event will also include a flag raising ceremony by the Colonial Re-enactment Society, a Citizenship Ceremony and Citizenship Affirmation.

Please note that there will be a road closure in place in the immediate vicinity in High and Highett Streets during this event.

Australia Day Celebrations in Jamieson will commence at 11.30 am beside the Jamieson River at Brewery Bridge Reserve (Licola Road)

Ceremony will include a free CFA sausage sizzle, speech by the Mayor, flag raising ceremony, singing and poetry reciting.

All welcome so please come along and enjoy your Australia Day in Jamieson.
