Pet Registrations due by 10 April 2018

March 26, 2018

GET YOUR BLING ON AND BE FABULOUS!

Pet registration... it's not only fashionable, it's required in Mansfield Shire. That's because your fancy yellow lifetime pet tag is your beloved pet's ticket home if they get lost.  Your pet should also always wear their address and phone number on their collar too.

It's a requirement under the Domestic Animals Act 1994 that all pet owners are liable for an infringement if their animal registrations are not paid by 10 April.

Lifetime tags
From April 2016 all pets have been issued with a lifetime tag.  That's right... your pet's tag will remain valid for the rest of his or her life - providing registration is kept up to date.  If, however, you lose or damage your tag, it can be replaced for a $5 fee.

If you're a newbie to pet ownership, please remember that all dogs and cats over 3 months of age must be registered with Council.

Payment options
You can pay your registration renewals online but this will only work if your account is NOT overdue.  Please be aware, though, that if you have more than one renewal notice and you use BPAY, you must pay each renewal notice as a separate transaction.  Failure to do this may result in some of your animals not being registered correctly.

Are your contact details up to date?
So that we can reunite you with your pet should they ever wander off and get lost, your contact details need to be accurate.  Please take the time to ensure your phone number, address or emergency contact person are correct when you register your animal.  Simply check the details on the registration renewal form that we've provided, and if something needs changing, complete the bottom section of the registration form, sign it and return it to the Mansfield municipal office.  We'll do the rest!  Often the quickest way for us to get in touch with you is via your mobile telephone number or by email.  Please make sure you include these with your contact details.

Has your pet passed away?
We know this can be a very distressing time for you if your pet has crossed Rainbow Bridge, and usually the last thing on your mind is to let us know.  If this is the case, please complete the change in details section on the registration form and return it to us.  We'll update your details in our register.

How to pay your registration online
Simply head over to the Online Payments page on our website and follow the information provided.
