Proposed Budget, Fees and Charges

At a Special Council meeting on 17 April 2018, Council formally considered its proposed 2018-19 Budget, the proposed 2018-19 Fees & Charges and the revised Council Plan 2017-2021, incorporating the Strategic Resource Plan 2018–22 and resolved to commence the statutory community consultation period, as required under Sections 125 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Have your say by making a written submission
Council now invites members of the public to make a written submission on one or more of these draft documents, in accordance with sections 126, 129 and S223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Please note that in your written submission, you may also request an opportunity to appear in person, or have someone representing you appear, before Council to make a verbal submission when it meets to consider all submissions.

A Council meeting will be held to consider all of the submissions received in the Mansfield Shire Council Chamber at 33 Highett Street, Mansfield on 29 May 2018, starting at 1.30pm.

Written submissions must be received no later than the close of business on 15 May 2018 and must be addressed to:

Please note that all written submissions lodged with Council will become public documents and available for inspection by the public in accordance with the Local Government Act 1989.

Public Information Sessions
Information sessions explaining the draft Budget 2018-19, Fees & Charges 2018-19 and revised Council Plan 2017-21 will be held at the:

• Mansfield - Municipal Council Chamber – Tuesday, 1 May commencing at 6.00pm
• Melbourne - Whitehorse Centre, Nunawading – Wednesday 9 May commencing at 6.30pm

These sessions will be facilitated by Councillors and senior officers and will also provide an update on current issues.
