Mansfield Shire Council has been awarded $300,000 toward community and economic recovery projects from the Victorian Government.
Council asked the community for ideas that would help draw people to outdoor spaces, supporting local business with increased visitation. These ideas have formed a project plan and many of them will be developed with this grant funding.
Mayor Cr Mark Holcombe said that the funding was a welcome boost for local business, which had been hit hard by the impacts of COVID restrictions.

Projects include beautifying areas, process changes to support business and enhanced facilities, such as:
“The community came up with great ideas that we are looking forward to implementing. The projects people brought forward that missed out on funding this time will be considered for any future potential funding opportunities,” said Cr Holcombe.
