Have your Say in the Community Satisfaction Survey

Published on 19 January 2024

Council encourages residents to participate in the upcoming Community Satisfaction Survey conducted by the State Government, which provides an opportunity to give feedback on Council's performance.

Scheduled from 29 January to mid-March 2024, the survey, conducted by independent market research agency National Field Services, aims to gather valuable feedback on various aspects of Council operations from a sample of residents from across Mansfield Shire.

The survey typically takes less than five minutes and is a vital tool for residents to express their views on Council's performance.

Mayor Cr Steve Rabie encouraged the community to participate.

“From libraries to roads to parks and open spaces, the community satisfaction survey is an important opportunity for residents to tell us how they think Council is performing,” he said.

"Your input helps Council understand what matters most to you. Whether it's environment and sustainability or planning and local laws, your feedback is crucial for us to plan for the future."

National Field Services will conduct the survey over a six-week period, ensuring a comprehensive representation of community feedback. Individual responses are confidential, with only aggregated results shared with Council.

The survey covers diverse areas, including outlying communities from across the Shire.

Last year's survey identified the appearance of public areas as the top-performing area with an index score of 82.

"If you are one of the residents from across the Shire who receive a call, please take the opportunity to share your views,” added Cr Rabie.

“Your feedback contributes directly to shaping the priorities and services that impact our community."

Residents can access previous years' community satisfaction survey results on Council's website mansfield.vic.gov.au.

Direct feedback can also be provided to Council at any time through the "report or request" function on the website, via email to council@mansfield.vic.gov.au, or by phoning 5775 8555.
