Residents and visitors in Jamieson will benefit from recently completed drainage upgrades.

Works included drainage reconstruction near the CFA Building in Brown St, along with road sealing and kerb and channel works near the corner of Grey and Perkins Street at the new electric vehicle (EV) charging station installed by the Jamieson Community Group.

Mayor Cr James Tehan said Council is delighted to deliver these much-needed drainage and road upgrade works for the community.

“It is terrific to see these works completed,” Cr Tehan said.

“The Jamieson Community Group showed great initiative in getting the funding to install the new EV charging station near the Jamieson Community Hall. Council was very happy to work with the community on these upgrades, which will also address some longstanding drainage issues in the township.

“Projects such as this are a key part of Council’s commitment to improving infrastructure and facilities in communities right across our shire, including our outlying communities.”

“We would like to acknowledge and thank the Jamieson Community Group for their work on the EV car charging station.”

Works were completed on 11 October by Alpine Civil Pty Ltd.
