Two new picnic tables have been installed under the Rotary shelter in the Mansfield Botanic Park at Mansfield.
Mayor Cr James Tehan said the project responded to community feedback that more seating was needed at the Botanic Park.
“Community feedback highlighted that we should invest in more functional assets for the Botanic Park. Specifically, recent community engagement directly requested additional undercover seating at the Botanic Park,” said Cr Tehan.
“We’re grateful for the partnership with Mansfield Rotary Club and the contribution of $3,000 that made this project possible.”
Council contributed $5,700 to the project. Further improvements are planned for the Botanic Park as part of the Victorian Government funded Outdoor Economy Package, including additional seating and custom waste bins.
