New Tools and Information for Business and Community Planning

Mansfield Shire’s economic and demographic profile is now publicly available on Mansfield Shire Council’s website.

The real time data has been purchased by Council and is collected and published by “profile.id”, an organisation that provides in-depth data for more than 300 local government areas and suburbs across Australia and New Zealand.

The information is designed to help people make important decisions with the right information. It provides information that supports businesses, community groups and developers with strategic data about Mansfield Shire.

Mayor Cr Mayor Holcombe encouraged the community and businesses to explore the data.

“The information paints a picture of our community’s characteristics and includes income, age, travel to work patterns, rent to home owner ratios and others for each neighbourhood area and Mansfield Shire as a whole,” said Cr Holcombe.

“The comprehensive community and economic information available through this tool helps anyone who wants to understand our community better whether it is for community or business. As well as helping Council with strategic decision making, it will help to support grant applications, development applications and business decisions about expansion or relocation into Mansfield Shire.”
