RACV Alpine Trial Centenary Show N Shine Cancelled
Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel the official Show N Shine event because of the heavy rains.
The vintage cars are still coming to town though, so keep an eye out. While we can’t guarantee warm weather, we can guarantee a warm welcome as the drivers come to town.
They will be parked at St Mary’s Hall for a breakfast function on Friday 21 October, so if weather permits feel free to pop down for a look.

Vintage and iconic vehicles will grace the streets of Mansfield over the next few days as the RACV Alpine Trial Centenary comes to town.
Between 1921 to 1926, RACV held a series of reliability and efficiency trials across the State. The route of the inaugural 1921 trial ran from Melbourne to Lakes Entrance, Tallangatta, Mount Buffalo, Wangaratta and Healesville before returning to Melbourne via Ballarat and Geelong.
The RACV, together with the Vintage Drivers Club, are recreating this route as close to the original as possible from 15 to 22 October with a one-night stopover in Mansfield on Thursday 20 October. A Show N Shine on the morning of Friday 21 October 2022 will provide an opportunity for car enthusiast to view the restored vehicles.
Mayor Cr James Tehan said Council encouraged events that increased economic activity in the town.
“We’re pleased that the organisers have seen the attraction of Mansfield as a stopover destination for this event,” said Cr Tehan.
“I encourage the community to enjoy the vintage, restored vehicles while they are in town.”
The vintage cars will be displayed in the Visitor Information Centre carpark from 9am on Friday 21 October 2022. Some of the vehicles were produced during the period of the trials from 1921-1926.
“Come and have a look at the vehicles, then cheer them on as they depart Mansfield bound for Melbourne at 11am,” said Cr Tehan.
