Council provides multiple options to help you make payments including online, by mail, by phone, Eftpos and Centrepay.
How to pay
Find the Assessment Number (Axxxx) in the top right hand corner of the front page.
Please note we accept Visa and Mastercard.
Pay online by credit card
Log in to your internet banking service. Look for the BPAY payment option. Enter the Biller Code and BPAY Reference Number located on the bottom right hand corner of the front page of your Rate Notice.

Cheque, money order, credit card and Eftpos payment options are available. Due to COVID-19 cash payments in person at the Municipal Office are currently unavailable.

Payable to Mansfield Shire Council and crossed 'Not Negotiable'. Receipts will not be issued for mailed payments.

Use Centrepay to make regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. Centrepay is a voluntary and easy payment option available to Centrelink customers.
Go to humanservices.gov.au/centrepay for more information on how to set up your Centrepay deductions. To register you will need Council’s Centrelink Reference Number which is 555-059-907-C.

Having difficulties meeting your instalment payment? You can apply to pay rates weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Ratepayers finding it difficult to pay their rates have the option of applying to Council for special consideration. If you meet the requirements, Council may defer a portion of your rates, consent to special payment arrangement, or waive interest charges.

Penalties for late payments will apply. Interest will accrue from the due date of the instalment and continue to accrue daily until the account is paid in full. The penalty interest rate is 10% per annum which is set by the Victorian Government.
If you have overpaid your rates and/or debtor invoices and wish to receive a refund, please complete and lodge the Overpayment – Request for Refund Form.
