Climate Action Plan

The Climate Action Plan sets out Council’s position on mitigating the impacts of climate change within corporate operations. It also provides scope to support the community in adjusting to climate change and achieving a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. A copy of the plan is attached to this report.

The plan was developed by contractor Ironbark Sustainability in collaboration with Councillors and Council officers, and several external groups including the Goulburn Murray Climate Alliance and the Climate Ready Hume program. 

Council adopted the Climate Action Plan at its meeting on 21 February 2023.
