Financial Accountant

Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Financial Accountant. The successful candidate is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Council’s financial and asset accounting, payments and revenue, payroll, and statutory reporting activities in line with policy, statutory and professional standards.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role also includes management of the chart of accounts and finance, allocation of corporate overhead costs and segment reporting and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and the financial plan.

Remuneration will be based on Band 6 Level A to Band 7 Level A classification, $87,215.44 - $96,287.36 depending on experience or relevant qualifications, per annum plus superannuation according to the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2024.
